The email that was sent to the BuckeyeScoop staff from Jerry Emig when Ohio State took their credentials away:

"Gentlemen,

I am writing regarding Buckeye Scoop’s Ohio State credentials. Ohio State has determined that Kirk

Barton and Ken Stickney, owner/operator and contributor, respectively, of the website Buckeye

Scoop, have, on multiple occasions this fall, violated established standards with regard to media

access and practice coverage protocols at Ohio State. As a result, all credentials and access provided

by the Ohio State athletics communications office to Buckeye Scoop for the purpose of covering

press conferences, practices and games are revoked indefinitely.

Jerry"

Some of the folks on the Scoop are questioning the validity of the text from the email from Jerry Emig, saying it is fake. It is not. It was recevied via a FOIA request from Ohio State. Here is a link to a PDF of the email message that was provided by Ohio State based on the FOIA request. It was provided by Amber Forman,Public Records Program CoordinatorOffice of University Compliance and Integrity.
