This is fucking excellent reporting. One small correction: I would not use the words "approved" or "denied" when it comes to the decisions of Area Commissions. ACs are purely advisory bodies - by design - because the city of Columbus wants to retain the actual decision-making power for itself. So ACs can "recommend" denial or approval - but that is a non-binding recommendation.
