The thing is, I don't think this scam had anything to do with financial gain. I think NB is a deeply disturbed individual, and this entire thing was simply about feeding his ego. To the extent that he probably had an outright addiction to the adulation and his messageboard 'celebrity' status. Imagine being a billionaire and choosing to spend every waking minute of your life posting on a college football messageboard? Now, the sad part (kinda) is that Givler is not a rich guy and will suffer serious financial consequence as a result of this business venture.
